Introduction
This privacy policy explains what data Qatter, operated by Bitblade Solutions UG, actually collects when you use qatter.bitblade.io. Qatter is built around anonymity, so this policy is intentionally short: there is very little data to describe.
No Registration, No Personal Data
Qatter does not have a registration or login form that asks for your name, email address, or any other personal details. When you create your first post, the site generates a random "secret hash" for you on our server and stores it in your browser's session. This hash is not derived from and does not contain any personal information about you.
What We Store
- Posts: the text you submit, an optional uploaded file, a public identifier derived from your secret hash, and a timestamp.
- Likes: a running total per post, plus a cookie in your browser ("qatter_likes") listing which post IDs you have liked, so you cannot like the same post twice. This cookie contains only post ID numbers - nothing that identifies you personally.
- Session cookie: used only to keep you logged in to your anonymous secret hash while you browse.
- Page view counter: a single counter row is recorded per page load to produce the aggregate number shown on the stats page. No IP address, browser fingerprint, or identifying information is stored alongside it.
We do not use third-party analytics, tracking pixels, or advertising cookies. We do not log or store your IP address.
Automatic Deletion
Posts, likes, trends and the page view counter are automatically deleted after roughly 24 hours by a scheduled job. Nothing you post on Qatter is intended to be permanent.
Uploaded Files
If you attach an image, video, PDF, document, text file, or audio file to a post, it is stored on our server for as long as the related post exists (see "Automatic Deletion" above) and is publicly accessible via its link, the same as the post itself.
No Payments, No Third-Party Sharing
Qatter does not process payments and does not collect financial information. We do not sell or share your data with advertisers or other third parties. We may disclose information if legally required to do so by a competent authority.
Security
We use reasonable technical measures to protect the data described above. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
Qatter is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect any information from them.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes to the site or for legal reasons. The current version always applies.
